When did you come to teach in the BScBA Program for the first time?

This summer was my first time teaching in the BScBA. I loved it!

What makes you want to come back to Mikkeli?

First, the students are amazing, so I can’t wait to meet even more Mikkeli students. Second, I didn’t get to teach the class in person, so I really look forward to that opportunity, since I think it would be even more fun than teaching you all remotely.

How are the students at the BScBA Program?

Amazing! I loved the thoughtful questions that everyone brought to class, and the drive to improve from one class day to the next was very impressive.

How are the courses/studies here different from your home university?

Students at Mikkeli were much more engaged in lecture than I am used to. I loved that students would always ask questions and wanted to be involved and active in their learning experience. It helps students to learn when they come to class ready to interact, but it also makes it much more fun (and, frankly, easier) to teach when students are involved.

What is your favourite memory from Mikkeli?

I loved that the students brought their sense of humor to class and were willing to laugh and find the fun in class. My favorite memory, though, was just watching the students present their hard work at the end of the module. It was amazing to see how far they had come during three short weeks! It was a really happy moment to see the students do such a great job of taking what they learned and applying it to a real-world question.
