For the TAITE team. TAITE Team has played a unique and essential role in the success of the School over these last two, very difficult years. They successfully put an entirely new and innovative curriculum in place, one that introduces our students to essential ideas and ways of working, featuring hands-on doing, research, and critical dialogue across all our many disciplines. Remarkably, they did so in the unfolding uncertainty of the pandemic. This required a huge amount of nimbleness, creativity -- and just plain hard work. It also required a tireless commitment to every single student's success, meaning every single Bachelor's student. TAITE and its Team are not only standard bearers for what creativity work means at Aalto. but also for the very idea of a creative community. Congratulations and our thanks to each of you.

Hohti's monograph 'Artisans, Objects and Everyday Life in Renaissance Italy: The Material Culture of the Middling Class' is the winner of the 2021 Roland H. Bainton Book Prize for Art and Music History, awarded by Sixteenth Century Society & Conference (SCSC) for the best book in the field of Art and Music History.

Responsible for the sub-theme ‘Social Groups and the circulation of fashion’. Awarded for years 2010-2013

This 2 million euro grant awarded for my new 5-year research project, titled 'Refashioning the Renaissance: Popular Groups, Fashion and the Material and Cultural Significance of clothing, 1550-1650'. The aim of the project is to investigate transformations and dissemination of fashion across social groups in the Renaissance period, and develop new, experimental 'hands-on' methods in historical research of dress.
