Jarno Lintusaari, M.Sc., will defend the dissertation "Steps Forward in Approximate Computational Inference" on Monday 18 March 2019 at 12 noon at the Aalto University School of Science, lecture hall H304, Otakaari 1, Espoo.
In the dissertation a recent family of methods for performing statistically based inference by using a computer simulator instead of a traditional statistical model was investigated. A new open source software for applying these methods in practice was also developed.
