Making your computational research presentable, Apr 29, 2025

Learn to create presentable computational research with Aalto Research Software Engineers.
Making your computational research presentable

Description

Are you writing research software or using data? Do you want others to get value out of it? There are common practices that work and some that don’t work. If you want others to follow your research lead, you need to provide the right things for them to do so – especially if they expect to be able to quickly reproduce what you have done.

It’s not that hard, and you shouldn’t be afraid of what you have. Learn some ways to make things a bit better, and you’ll do fine. We’ll go over the basics that you can do right now and prepare you for more, when you are ready. We’ll cover how to adjust your work, how to share, and what can make it more likely that people will take interest.

Aalto Research Software Engineers are a service team which helps academics with their problems in programming, data, and scientific computing workflows. The team can also help in implementing these lessons after the talk.
