Calibration of Near-Infrared Detectors Using a Wavelength Tunable Light Source
Calibration of optical detectors is important for the reliability of optical characterization methods and therefore, has significant applications in optics and metrology. We have developed a portable wavelength tunable light source to calibrate the spectral power responsivities of detectors in the infrared region.

Creative Sustainability Kick-Off Day 2018
Earlier this month students gathered together for the annual Creative Sustainability Kick-Off Day. Mikko Jalas, the programme director of the CS Masters programme opened the event with an introduction to studying in Aalto and an overview of what the CS studies can offer new students.
Mechatronic Circus 2020
Mechatronic Circus is an annual event where students present the smart devices they have built on the mechatronics courses. Unfortunately this year聽the public event that has normally gathered up to 500 visitors聽had to be cancelled,聽but the students and their teachers held the event virtually. Creative Teamwork 2018
In September 2018, first year Creative Sustainability students took part in an intensive and collaborative learning experience in Kera, Espoo. The Creative Teamwork course aimed to give students a fresh outlook on Creative Sustainability as a programme, the areas of studies and particular approaches to sustainability.
