Aalto Science Institute AScI internship programme
Summer research assistantships in premier research groups at Aalto University for undergraduate and master's students from any country.

Aalto Science Fellows
The Aalto Science Institute Fellowships are designated for young scientists of great promise who demonstrate exceptional abilities in research. Recipients will receive extensive support to pursue independent and original research across the sciences, free of administrative requirements.

Professors鈥 Council
The Professors鈥 Council ensures that the voice of the academic science and art community is heard in essential issues related to the values of the university.

Aalto University Bylaws
The present bylaws and other similar internal regulations of the university dictate the organisation of the foundation university鈥檚 operations and administration

Visiting Scientist Programmes
AScI manages the application processes of three active funding instruments to bring international academics 黑料网 School of Science: the Visiting Professor programme (on behalf of the Dean of the School of Science), the AScI Visiting Researcher programme, and the AScI Visiting Doctoral Reseacher programme.

Arctic Technology Publications
Arctic Technology is a field of strong scientific achievements and considerable doctoral training. The project outcomes are disseminated through public events and scientific publications. All the published Magazine and Journals articles and Conference papers are available here.

Joint Research Centre of Excellence for Arctic Shipping and Operations
Finland' strong scientific achievements and considerable doctoral training in the field of Arctic technology were put to use in the international CEARCTIC project (2013-2018).

Research for sustainability
Aalto University generates knowledge, understanding and solutions that enable well-being within the limits of one planet. We combine expertise in art, technology, and business to develop solutions for some of the world's greatest challenges.

Sustainable Aalto
Understood through all its dimensions - ecological, social, economic and cultural - we are committed to carrying out our activities in a sustainable manner. For example, we work actively to develop the energy efficiency of our property portfolio and to reduce energy consumption in our campuses.

COMP Seminars
COMP researchers shared their ongoing research at regular seminars by invited speakers and given by our researchers.

COMP Research
The COMP Centre of Excellence (2012-2017) strived at a multiscale approach to condensed-matter and materials research, ranging from the quantum world of 氓ngstr枚ms and femtoseconds to macroscopic length and time scales
COMP: Exploring Unseen Worlds
The basic strategy of COMP (2012-2017) was to develop and apply cutting-edge theoretical and computational methods and the best available computing resources in attacking challenging problems in condensed-matter and materials physics.

Research highlights & publications
Our aim is to develop a fundamental understanding of how self-assembled multicomponent materials of the future can be designed and produced using biological starting materials, based on plant cell wall structures and designed biological macromolecules.
Contact information: The LIBER Centre
The Centre of Excellence HYBER is located in the Otaniemi campus area. The research groups can be found at the Department of Applied Physics and Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems of Aalto University. In addition, VTT industrial Biotechnology unit is located in close proximity.

Biological tailors
Our research groups work as biological 鈥渢ailors鈥 on molecular self-assembly, genetic engineering of proteins, biotechnical production of engineered biomolecules, and plant cell wall materials.
