Aalto Centre for Operations Research (ACOR)
Aalto Centre for Operations Research (ACOR) is a coordinated network of Aalto researchers with interests in Operations Research (OR). It aims at enhancing collaboration between Aalto’s research groups which conduct research in OR or fields that apply or would benefit from the application of OR methods and serves as a source of expertise for those who may benefit from operations research, both within Aalto and beyond.

About Energy Garage
Energy Garage is a new learning and innovation platform and space at Aalto University for students, faculty and companies interested in energy subjects. Energy Garage, or shortly EG, is open to all students at Aalto U. The space is located in K4 (Sähkömiehentie 4) F-hall.

About ESCI
Aalto University Energy Science Initiative, or shortly ESCI, was originally established in January 2012 to strengthen the efforts of the School of Science in energy. Two themes were chosen based on the School's competencies and interest: Energy, Systems and Society – systemic research; and Materials in Energy.
Garden for decaying trees
The Finnish Association for Nature Conservation, together with the University of Helsinki and Aalto University’s Department of Landscape Architecture, organised a ‘Garden for Decaying Trees’ design competition for students. The results were announced 14/11/2013. The winners were Sofia Tigerstedt and Kimmo Heikkinen for their work ‘Ring of Decay’.

RAMI – Raw materials research infrastructure
RAMI Raw Materials is a national, joint research infrastructure. Its target is to strengthen the long-term core expertise in Otaniemi (together with GTK and VTT), and to place Finland among the strong actors in natural and new inorganic material research needed in the circular economy.
Game Design Meets Cruise Ship Design
Proteus is a new kind of tool for planning cruise ship interior layouts. The tool uses game design elements and methodology to improve upon current processes in cruise ship design. The tool was created as a part of master's thesis of Reina Magica, a graduate in New Media Game Design and Production at Aalto University.
