Eeva Savolainen started as Information Specialist at Research Service’s Open Science and ACRIS team at the beginning of April. Her tasks include validating research outputs of the School of Arts and Design in the university’s research information system ACRIS and tasks related to open access publishing and research data management.

Regarding the ACRIS validation work, Eeva Savolainen takes care of validating the publications of Department of Architecture, Department of Media, and Department of Film, Television and Scenography. Her colleague Leena Rantamäki is responsible for validating the publications of Department of Art and Department of Design.

In relation to research data management, Savolainen co-operates with the Aalto University's data advisor Mikhail Kuklin and data agents especially at the School of Arts and Design and at the School of Business.

Eeva Savolainen has a Master’s degree in Finnish literature from University of Tampere. She has worked in different positions in libraries and archives for about fifteen years. Her previous employers include University of Tampere, Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences, Radio and Television Archive of the National Audiovisual Institute, and National Library. Last two years she worked as Senior Planning Officer at the Publication Forum based in the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies.

On her spare time Eeva enjoys for example reading, ballet and hiking.
