Aalto University and the University of Helsinki have agreed on sharing chemistry studies between their students. The sharing is done within the framework of cross-institutional studies (RIPA). To register for the courses, please follow the instructions given on the page linked above, and add them in your study plan. In the Master's Programme in Chemistry and Materials Science, the courses are listed among optional studies under the heading Chemistry courses at University of Helsinki.

Teaching periods

Please note that the teaching periods in Aalto University and University of Helsinki are slightly different: Aalto has five periods and Helsinki has four. Because of this, it is important to check the course schedules in SISU early enough. Please see the teaching periods at Aalto University and the at the University of Helsinki.

University of Helsinki general examinations for Aalto students

If you want to retake a course exam, you need to attend one of the general examinations organized by the University of Helsinki. To attend a retake exam, you need to register for the exam in Aalto's Sisu.

The registration for a general examination closes 10 days before the examination. No registrations are accepted after the deadline!
