What to do in ACRIS when you leave Aalto University

Report missing publications and datasets and check your publications' open access status. If you wish, you can extract a copy of your ACRIS data.

ACRIS (Aalto Current Research Information System) is designed to maintain an ongoing historical record of research and artistic activity at Aalto University. This means that data about staff members and their research outputs, artistic outputs, data, projects and activities will be retained in ACRIS after they have left the university. The profiles of previous employees, however, will no longer be displayed in the public research portal.

These are the steps you should take before leaving Aalto University:

  1. Check your scientific publications resulting from your employment at Aalto University in the . Inform any missing publications to acris@aalto.fi.
  2. If any of your publications is not openly available under an open license (e.g. CC BY), please send the accepted manuscript — the peer-reviewed version before the final published version — to acris@aalto.fi. This will allow the publication to be parallel published in Aalto University's repository.
  3. If you are the only person with access to research data created in an externally funded research project, contact researchdata@aalto.fi for further instructions. If you have published research data with Aalto University affiliation, please send DOIs or links of the said data to researchdata@aalto.fi.
  4. If you wish, you can extract a copy of your publication data from ACRIS before leaving the university.
