In the information technology minor you will learn programming and other methods of data processing, which you can apply in tasks in your own field. Nowadays almost all new services and products are based on the application of information technology, so the minor is useful for anyone. You can also complete most information technology studies as individual courses.
In fact, there are two different minors. You can choose the one that suits you. The general study path offers a calmer introduction to programming and the concepts of information technology. The more demanding study path is suitable for all students who are looking for challenges, regardless of whether they have previous programming experience or not.
Registration for minor studies is done on a course-by-course basis. There is no separate registration for the entire minor.
You can check the schedules and descriptions of the courses in the course menu:
You can search for courses in the course menu by typing the course name into the search field. Registration for Open University courses is done through the link in the course description in the Sisu service.
Instructions for Course Registration
Some of the optional courses in the minor are quite demanding, so it is advisable to check the course-specific prerequisite requirements.
