Human-centered design is a methodology that places the user at the heart of the design process. In an increasingly digital world, prioritizing human-centric design enhances usability and contributes to the overall well-being and inclusivity of society.
This course is designed to equip you with essential skills for understanding user experience and incorporating it into design projects. The Human-Centred User Experience Design course offers a foundational understanding of the human-centred design process, specifically in creating digital services.
Workshops and lectures emphasise the importance of human-centred design, equipping students with essential skills in user interface and user experience design. This includes understanding and specifying the context of use, specifying the user requirements, producing design solutions, and evaluating the design.
Throughout the course, you will work in small teams and will engage in the design and creation of a low-fidelity prototype for a mobile application, covering different phases of the human-centred design process. The course is structured around lectures, group assignments, in-class discussions, and design work in teams.
