European Quantum Future Academy 2020 (Berlin): Apply now!

The European Quantum Future Academy 2020 is a great opportunity to discover the application potential of quantum technologies and create new contacts for your future! It is targeted for finishing BSc or early MSc student in physics. Applications can be submitted until end of June 2020.

In the context of German EU council presidency this year鈥檚 鈥淓uropean Quantum Future Academy鈥  takes place in Berlin. Finland will select 2-3 talented students who are motivated to study quantum technologies to participate in this roughly one week event. (Academy takes place in September or October. Exact schedule is still unclear.) The goals of the academy include:

  • Promoting young European talents in quantum technologies (QT) to counteract skills shortage in this field in Europe
  • Showing QT-related career perspectives, boosting individual career options
  • Strengthening networks of students, science, industry and start-ups
  • Bringing together students from natural sciences and engineering sciences
  • Having a great time together!

Academy includes scientific talks, industry and start-up visits, social excursions, social events, and a lot more. Housing, meals and travel inside Germany are fully covered by the German partners while travel to Germany is covered by the Centre for Quantum Engineering (CQE) in Aalto University.

Who can apply?

We are looking for finishing BSc or early MSc physics students who would benefit from the academy.
