Laura Isoniemi
Laura Isoniemi holds a Master of Arts degree, she is an art pedagogue and an IDBMPro.
Primarily, Isoniemi has been teaching at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture, at Aalto
University in Finland. Her professional expertise focuses on teaching experimental surface design,
invention methods and creativity. Multidisciplinary, international design and art teaching is her
specialty.
Isoniemi has visited as an instructor in Saudi Design Week 2019, Riyadh, at the School of Fine Arts
(Reykjavik, Iceland) 2019, the Shanghai International College of Fashion and Innovation (Donghua
University, China) 2017鈥2019, the College of Architecture and Urban planning (Tongji University,
China) 2014, and the Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Arts (Makere University,
Uganda) 2007.
She is the creator of the exhibition conception for Echoes 鈥 100 Years of Finnish Design and
Architecture, as well as one of the exhibition鈥檚 curators and the producer of this international
exhibition that travelled through five countries in 2016鈥2017.
Isoniemi actively participates in the organisations in her professional field and she is a board
member and Vice President in Ornamo. In addition, she has participated in group exhibitions in
Finland and abroad.
