I began my studies in Engineering Physics in Otaniemi in the mid-1990s. Back then, the message to us students was that here you learn how to learn. Since then, my career in machine learning, data, and AI has taken me from startups to listed companies, and I wouldn’t have had such an interesting path without Aalto University. I’ve also served as a mentor for current students and warmly recommend mentoring to others as well—it keeps your own learning curve on an upward trajectory. Come rekindle your May Day memories, catch up, and exchange thoughts, for example about mentoring. See you on May Day Eve!
