Arboretum Otaniemi

Our aim is to raise public awareness of the variety and significance of trees in the campus landscape. They grow in unique conditions on public and private land. The arboretum is a live learning environment for students and everyone interested.

The map is based on the 2024 orthophoto from the City of Espoo's open WMS data and the current base map (CC-BY 4.0 © City of Espoo, paikkatieto) and has been modified according to the visual needs of the map. The data was retrieved in July 2025 from:  

Historical aerial photos from the paikkatietoikkuna service have been used to map the buildings and roads from the manor period. The data was produced by the National Land Survey of Finland and was retrieved in June 2025 from: kartta.paikkatietoikkuna.fi
