Main lobby of the Harald Herlin Learning Centre

The Harald Herlin Learning Centre (Otaniementie 9) is the main service point of the Aalto University Learning Centre.

The main entrance to the Harald Herlin Learning Center is accessible. A disabled parking space is located less than 10 meters from the main entrance. The route to the main entrance is marked, well lighted, adequately wide and on level ground. The drop-off point for passenger traffic is located in close proximity to the main entrance (distance no more than 5 meters)

The main entrance is easy to find. The glass entrance doors have contrast markings. Adequate space for movement in a wheelchair, for example, is available outside the door. The door opens automatically by push button.

Students and staff of Aalto University can access the building (1st, 2nd, and K-floors) every day from 7.00-24.00. Accessible entry to the Learning Center is via the main entrance. The door remains locked outside customer service hours (see: /en/learning-centre). Access rights through the main entrance can be extended to people with mobility challenges upon request if they wish to use the Learning Center premises outside normal opening hours. To get access rights, please send an email about the need with justification to the address: oppimiskeskus-aula@aalto.fi.

All customer service premises are wheelchair accessible. All lifts have voice announcements and controls at a height suitable for wheelchair users. Accessible toilets are located near the main lobby's customer service desk and on the 1st floor near the cafe.

Audio induction loop

The customer service area in the main lobby and the seminar room (Juho 126) have an induction loop. The spaces are marked with the T symbol.

Public transport

There are bus stops as well as a metro station immediately next to the Learning Centre. Distance to all of these is 100-150 m.
