To support the study well-being of our students, Aalto offers online material, services, and guidance during the summer. FSHS and study psychologists serves students throughout the summer.
Alternatives to fossil-based fibres – Helena Sederholm develops sustainable textiles
Today’s outdoor clothing mainly relies on oil-based fibres and chemicals that are harmful for the environment. In her doctoral research, Helena Sederholm develops environmentally friendly water-repellent textiles. She follows the example of nature.
Summer job can be included as a practical training course
Working in your own field in the summer can be utilized in your studies. A student of the School of Engineering gets 1-5 credits by completing an internship in his / her field and returning the Practical training documents in accordance with the instructions at the beginning of the next semester.
