Alumnus Atte Heikkilä: Acting as a mentor was a great experience for me

School of Business alumnus Atte Heikkilä, who pursues an international career as a project manager in Sweden and Senior Client Success Manager in Spain, participated in the Aalto mentoring program as a mentor. He recommends the program both to students and alumni: ‘Join the program with an open mind and challenge your own and the mentor's possible presumptions.’

ModerninArvo project affects debate on fate of modern buildings

The main individual sector in creating a carbon-neutral Finland is renovation construction. The surge in demolition and replacement of young building stock and entire areas through carbon-intensive construction is problematic for sustainability. The ModerninArvo project aims at finding solutions to the continued shrinking of the life cycles of architecture, and the renovation and re-use of the architecture from recent decades. The project is being funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
