Student Reetta Kanervo: flexibility in studies makes it possible to combine studies, sports hobbies and part-time work
In Reeta's opinion, the best things about student life are internationality, freedom of choice and the fact that there is definitely something for everyone to do alongside their studies. For example, she has completed part of her studies abroad as individual summer courses, been a member of the board of a riding team and participated in a scuba diving course.

Olivia's talent in mathematical science subjects and natural creativity have been useful in her studies – in the Bachelor's Programme in Real Estate Economics and Geoinformatics, she gets to combine both architecture and engineering perspectives. Jarno Mäkelä joined Aalto’s Department of Neuroscience and Medical Engineering as Assistant Professor of Biophysics in early September, together with research fellow Taras Redchuk, postdoctoral researchers Dan Noel, Eveliny Nery, doctoral researchers Ada Pajari and Aakeel Wagay, and research assistant Chris Hayes.
