The world will soon run out of water. The Majakka Graduate School in Water Science and Technology is setting out to tackle such issues fearlessly and break the mold of traditional ways of doing dissertations, as its students aim for goals beyond their oral defences.

Mikko Koivisto: Multidisciplinary studies give you a unique skill set
A forerunner in service design, Master of Arts and Design Mikko Koivisto moved on from consulting to the energy industry where he works with the social issues brought on by climate change. Now he has a chance to work on customer experience development at the energy company Helen and tackle challenges related to the transition of the energy industry.

Aalto Behavioral Laboratory
ABL offers various different devices, including EEG, Eye Trackers, Thermal camera, Thermal Stimulator, VR Headset, and Data Logger for biosignals (EMG, ECG, GSR).
Advanced Magnetic Imaging Centre
AMI Centre maintains a research-dedicated 3T-MRI scanner, develops and maintains the related infrastructure and offers services to multiple research teams. Typical measurements at AMI Centre include functional and structural brain imaging or diffusion tensor imaging. In addition, AMI Centre develops new methods and applications of MRI technology.

MEG Core
MEG Core offers excellent environment for magnetoencephalography (MEG). MEG Core has a state-of-the-art 306-channel MEG device (MEGIN TRIUX neo, MEGIN Oy, Espoo, Finland) in a high-end 3-layered magnetically shielded room (Imedco AG, H盲gendorf, Switzerland). MEG Core has extremely low magnetic ambient noise level and a wide variety of MEG-compatible stimulators and monitoring devices for successful MEG measurements.
