Dive deeper and embark on a journey into science and art with fellow curious minds. At the open lectures, three experts will share their perspectives on selected themes, allowing the audience to reflect on the impact of these topics on everyday life and the state of the world. The events are organized in collaboration with the City of Espoo. In spring 2025, there will be three events held on Tuesdays 17.00-18.30.

When curiosity is limitless, you can do anything! Aalto University Junior Science Theatre events, intended for 9-12-year-old students, will begin on the Aalto University campus in cooperation with the City of Espoo.

Tähtitiistai: 50 years with the frequency of the Universe

Finland's only astronomical radio observatory, Metsähovi Radio Observatory, turned 50 this year. To celebrate the anniversary, we organised a three-part Tähtitiistai lecture series to bring astronomy close to everyone's everyday life. In the lecture series, former and current people of Metsähovi talked about the history of Finnish space research, quasars, solar research and the secrets of black holes, among other things.
