Aalto Distinguished Professor Matti Keloharju Awarded First Class Knight of the Order of the White Rose of Finland

Aalto Distinguished Professor and Eero Kasanen Professor of Finance, Matti Keloharju, has been awarded First Class Knight of the Order of the White Rose of Finland by President Sauli Niinistö.

Matti Keloharju has an impressive track record as a teacher and a leading finance scholar. He was chosen as an Academy Professor in 2015 and he is considered the sixth most significant financial economist in Europe according to a 2011 study*. His research has earned Keloharju a position as an influential figure in society and his research is widely reported in the Finnish as well as international media.

Matti Keloharju is also a respected teacher. He has supervised numerous PhD students, many of whom have gone on to be top researchers in the field. He has had an active role in leading the Aalto University’s Department of Finance on its way to becoming a top unit of international research in finance.

Matti is a well-liked and esteemed colleague, who actively continues his research within finance.
