Aalto scientists editors of theme issue combining neurosciences and social sciences

Riitta Hari, Mikko Sams and Lauri Nummenmaa have edited the theme issue ‘Attending to and neglecting people’.

The Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B. Biological Sciences theme issue was released in April. The issue gathers together science publications from the fields of neuroscience, psychology, robotics, animal interaction research and microsociology.

The editor team consists of Professor emerita Riitta Hari who works at the Department of Art and Professor Mikko Sams and Professor Lauri Nummenmaa, both from the Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering.

The theme issue is based on the Attention and Performance XXVI meeting organised in Tuusula, Finland in 2015.

- In the future, information needs to converge across disciplines to provide us a more holistic view of human behaviour, the editors write.
