Aalto strategic initiative Aalto Online Learning - Online Hybrid Lab is actively creating new opportunities for learners.

In January 2024 Aalto University with Tec de Monterrey, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and Zhejiang University launched Cyber-Physical Learning Alliance (CPLA) for uniting cyber and physical worlds to provide immersive and interactive learning experiences.
The announcement of the alliance was made in IFE Conference 2024 gathering over 3200 participants in Monterrey, Mexico.

The Cyber-Physical Learning Alliance (CPLA) also launched the Cyber-Physical Learning Journal as a portal for achieving the following goals: 

• Disseminating scholarly, academic works and observations from faculty instructors, researchers, and learners to enable intellectual advancements in cyber-physical learning for lifelong tertiary learners. 

• Contributing to the development of innovative technologies, pedagogies, and andragogies in cyber-physical learning for lifelong tertiary learners. 

• Informing readers about the latest trends and developments in the field of cyber-physical learning, training, research, and management. 

• Being the leading knowledge resource for cyber-physical learning.
