Aalto University in place 133 in the QS Rankings

The QS World University Rankings measure academic reputation, research publications and internationality.

The position of Aalto University improved in the QS World University Rankings published on 6 September. This year, Aalto University was ranked 133rd among the universities of the world, whereas it was ranked 139th a year ago.

In the QS World University Rankings, 50 per cent of the ranking is based on a survey regarding the university’s academic reputation, with responses from both academics and employers. The ranking also includes an examination of research citations, student-to-faculty ratio, and the number of international academic faculty members and students.

QS World University Rankings ranked over 900 universities. Depending on the way calculated, there are between 17 000 and 22 000 universities in the world.

Aalto University specialises in technology, business and arts, for which reason the most relevant rankings for Aalto University are the rankings by field or subject that QS also publishes in addition to this general ranking.
