Aalto’s Economics and Business ranks 79th in NTU ranking
University (NTU) Ranking by Subject, and for the first time this year, this area has been introduced as a separate subject.
In the NTU Ranking by Subject, Computer Science ranked 95 (last year’s ranking was 72), and four other technology subjects were among top 150: Chemical Engineering 107 (109), Electrical Engineering 121 (119), Materials Science 136 (166) and Civil Engineering 143 (121).
Aalto’s Space Science and Mechanical Engineering were also among the top 200.
The NTU Ranking by Field places Aalto’s Engineering field at spot 134. Its ranking last year was 135.
In overall rankings, Aalto was ranked 387th (342)
The NTU Ranking is based on the analysis of publication and citation data included in the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science database, which emphasises volume in addition to influence. For a university such as Aalto that is specialised in various fields, field-specific rankings are more informative than overall rankings.
