Advances in Physics: X has new Deputy Editor

COMP’s Jaakko Akola (Tampere University of Technology) is new Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Taylor & Francis journal Advances in Physics: X.

The Centre of Excellence in Computational Nanoscience, COMP, has 10 groups at Aalto University and one at Tampere University of Technology, TUT. Associate Professor Jaakko Akola leads COMP’s Materials and Molecular Modeling group in TUT’s Department of Physics. Taylor & Francis have announced that Prof. Akola is now the Deputy Editor-in-Chief in the Advances in Physics: X journal, starting at the beginning of April 2016. The journal’s focus is the importance of physics to modern science and technology.
