Arkhimedes features Artificial Intelligence for Microscopic Structure Search project of CEST

CEST's Artificial Intelligence for Microscopic Structure Search project is featured in Arkhimedes 01/2018.

Milica Todorović and Patrick Rinke's article "Make your BOSS do the work: Optimising technologies with artificial intelligence" is published in Arkhimedes - Journal of Physics and Mathematics (FI: Fysiikan ja Matematiikan Aikakauslehti / SV: Tidskrift för Fysik och Matematik).

This article features CEST's project (in collaboration with Jukka Corander at University of Helsinki) "Artificial Intelligence for Microscopic Structure Search (AIMSS)", which is funded by the Academy of Finland. In this project, artificial intelligence enters modern materials science via Bayesian optimisation structure search (BOSS), which works together with quantum-mechanical modelling techniques to effectively find the most stable materials structure on a large scale.
