The ARTS AI Playground is a new pilot space in Väre where the ARTS community can explore AI tools in a practical, hands-on way. The space includes shared AI-ready workstations designed for experimentation in teaching, artistic and design work, coding, workshops, research and other creative workflows.

The pilot is developed together by ARTS and ITS to help understand how shared AI workstations can support different needs across the school. During the pilot phase, ARTS staff and invited staff can book the AI Playground for testing. Student access is planned to open in the 2026–2027 academic year.

The AI Playground workstations include a selection of locally installed software for AI experimentation, creative production, coding and 3D workflows. The setup is intended to support hands-on testing, learning and experimentation with AI-related workflows.

ARTS staff can request booking permission by emailing vare-stations@aalto.fi.

More information, including booking links and practical instructions, is available on the AI Playground page under ARTS infra Workshops.

Feedback, questions and issue reports can be sent to arts.ai.playground@aalto.fi.
