Bus services in Otaniemi to change as of 3 January

The extension of the Metro to Matinkylä, Espoo will significantly change public transport services in Otaniemi and Espoo.

Most journeys to Helsinki city center will in future be made by rail.

In South Espoo and Lauttasaari public transport switches to feeder services. Most bus services will terminate at Matinkylä or Tapiola Metro Stations. The Metro and current bus routes have operated simultaneously from November to December before switching to feeder bus services in January.

The routes of almost all bus services in South Espoo will change when the West Metro opens. There are changes also in Lauttasaari, Lehtisaari and Kuusisaari. In addition, routes will be renumbered.

Bus lines 102, 103, 194 and 195 will be terminated. Check the alternative routes at website.

Outside the Metro operating hours, night buses will serve the Kamppi terminal, as currently. Otaniemi can be reached by 551N.
