Call for nominees for Aalto University’s Open Science Award 2024

Aalto University wishes to celebrate the remarkable work of Aalto community members who promote open science in their research or teaching. In addition to teaching and research, this can be done by setting an example and supporting other Aalto community members in the field of open science.

Nominate yourself, your colleague, a research group, a department, or a project as the receiver of the 2024 Aalto University Open Science Award. Please, use the to explain how you or your nominee has promoted open science. The deadline for submissions is 3.12.2024.

The nominations will be assessed by the Research Steering Group at the end of the year.

In addition to recognition and visibility, the winner of the award will get the opportunity to showcase their work in a short-form video that will be published online. For reference of the style, see: and . The video will be created during spring 2025 in collaboration with the awardee. Please note that the winner needs to allocate some time for the creation of the video during spring 2025. The video will be premiered at a casual award ceremony event in the spring.

The winner is also offered a possibility to give an online presentation as a part of the Training in Research Data Management and Open Science in spring 2025.
