VTT and IQM , the first 50-qubit superconducting quantum computer build in Europe. Q50 belongs to the Finnish Quantum Computing Infrastructure FiQCI, which is administered by CSC, VTT and Aalto. The device, which started development in 2020, is now fully functional and available for use.

Researchers from Finnish universities looking to harness Q50's extraordinary capabilities for their work should note that access to it is handled via calls for projects four times per year.

The first call is now open for applications with a deadline of April 1st, 2025. FiQCI judges the proposals, with outcomes shared roughly two week after that.

Get the details and find out how to apply on FiQCI's site:

Access to the 50-qubit computer happens through the LUMI supercomputer environment provided by CSC.
