Ceremony week panel discussions envision the future of research

Join us to hear the views of new honorary doctors on future technology trends.

Are you interested in how deep technologies are changing the world 鈥 how breakthroughs in science and technology are commercialised? Or, how an open society can prepare for cyberattacks?

Come and listen to the panel discussions on topical issues with honorary doctors during the Aalto University Ceremony Week.  The seminar day is Thursday 16 June 2022.

Discussions will focus on future directions in technology, for example:

  • What are quantum technologies and what is their importance? Panelists include J眉rgen Mlynek, Chair of the Strategic Advisory Board, European Union's Quantum Flagship, who is widely acknowledged for his groundbreaking research in atom optics, quantum optics and molecular physics.   • How can an open information society be protected in times of cyberattacks? M氓rten Mickos, CEO of HackerOne and front man of ethical hackers, talks about positive impact.
  • How is small molecule research turning into international big business? Tuomas Tenkanen, CEO of Mobidiag Ltd, will shed light on innovation entrepreneurship and commercialisation of deep technology solutions. Mobidiag is a company developing molecular diagnostics and equipment for infectious diseases and antibiotic resistance

Making space for creativity with the help of ELEC Diversity and Inclusivity Fund
