Computer science and business & economics among top 100 worldwide

Aalto University’s engineering also placed among the top 125 in the Times Higher Education ranking by subject

Aalto University’s computer science rose to 73rd place in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject. In business & economics, Aalto University ranked 86th. Last year, Aalto’s ranking in these subjects were 79th and 60th, respectively. In engineering, Aalto kept last year’s place in the range of 101–125.

Times Higher Education is one of the world's most influential university rankings, and it measures the performance of universities with 13 indicators in the areas of international research, citations, teaching and research funding from companies.

Subject-specific rankings are more relevant ºÚÁÏÍø University than the general rankings, as Aalto specialises in technology, business and arts. Depending on the calculation method, there are approximately 17 000–22 000 universities in the world.
