Construction and renovations in Nanomicroscopy Center

Construction and renovations create major disturbances in the Nanomicroscopy Center premises.

Starting in August 2015 major disturbances are caused by renovations and construction in the Nanomicroscopy Center.

Room N131 will be emptied and completely reconstructed to house a new transmission electron microscope. Both scanning electron microscopes are moved to N115 and N116, which are going to be combined into a large SEM laboratory equipped with sample preparation equipment. Sample preparation equipment is temporarily relocated to N114.

A new liquid nitrogen line is going to be installed during August and September 2015. The disturbance caused to users should be minimal. However drilling holes to walls will cause vibrations that can be detected by sensitive instruments.
