Ebook Central personal user account login method will change on Tuesday, 9 June
You will need the Ebook Central personal user account to create your own bookshelf, download e-books for offline use and make notes and bookmarks to the books.
Aalto credentials provide more secure, single sign-on authenticated access to ProQuest Ebook Central.
Unfortunately, the change in login method means that your previously saved items no longer appear on your bookshelf. Because of the switch in log in method, a new account will be created when you sign in first time.
How do I access items saved to my bookshelf after an authentication change?
To retrieve items from your old bookshelf, we need to merge your new and old accounts. If you would like your bookshelves to be merged, please contact us by email at oppimiskeskus@aalto.fi with the following information:
- Your previous Ebook Central username (in most cases this is your email address)
- Your current Ebook Central username. To see what Ebook Central is using as your username, sign in and go to Settings > Profile. Copy what you see under the "Email/Username" field
Please note that merging user accounts may take several days. The merging process is carried out in collaboration with Ebook Central's administration.
The bookshelf merges are final and cannot be undone or modified once they have been processed.
