EIT Digital has decided on a new strategic innovation agenda for years 2020-2022. The five core challenges facing Europe are: (1) bringing European values to the digital world, (2) bringing forth digital single market in Europe, (3) raising R&D investments in the digital technologies emphasizing software, (4) increase deep tech innovation investments, and (5) adapt the European education system to the digital reality.

EIT Digital continues to focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and education. The main focus areas of EIT Digital are: Digital tech, digital cities, digital industries, digital wellbeing, and digital finance.
