Enrolment of doctoral students for the 2025 – 2026 academic year

The enrolment period for the 2025 - 2026 academic year is from 2 May to 29 August 2025. All doctoral students must enroll annually as either attending or non-attending students. Also students who are in the pre-examination or defense phase must be enrolled at all times.

All students who are studying towards a degree at Aalto University, including doctoral students, must make a separate annual enrolment for each of their valid rights to study. You must enrol annually as either attending or non-attending students. Enrolment for the academic year is done in . If you do not enrol for the academic year for a given right to study, you will lose that right to study.

Note that also students who are in the pre-examination or defense phase must enrol, if they are not able to officially graduate by 31 July 2025 (see official graduation dates). If you do not enrol for the academic year for a given right to study, you will lose that right to study.

The data of doctoral students enrolling as attending students will also be transferred to the Aalto Current Research Information System (ACRIS).
