ESS –self-service is unavailable from 26th until 29th of January

Becoming renewal improves usability of ESS

ESS –self-service is renewing on the 29th of January. Due to this change, ESS is not available from the 26th of January from 9 am until 29th of January 8 am. Renewed ESS is easier to use and you do not need to run any Java applications to get access to ESS. You can browse ESS with Firefox ESR, IE/(Edge) and Safari (Mac). Chrome is also allowed to use in Aalto, but you have to install it yourself and please notice that it is not supported by Aalto ITS.

You will find familiar basic functions in ESS: you can update your basic personal information, apply annual holidays and short-term absences. So please, check your personal data and update it, if necessary.

As a supervisor, you can approve your staff’s annual holiday and absence applications either by using person or by group approval –function. Later on there will be new reports and list of completed staff training and courses are available.

In case of technical problems, please contact: esupport-hrsystems@aalto.fi
