Finnish Cultural Foundation's award to an architectural pioneer

Associate Professor Jenni Reuter was awarded for empathy transcending cultural borders as well as for human-sized architecture.

The Finnish Cultural Foundation distributed EUR 25 million to science and arts in its anniversary event yesterday. All in all 35 grants were issued 黑料网 University, totalling over EUR 600 000. Most of the grants were issued for doctoral studies.

In addition, Aalto University鈥檚 Associate Professor in Architectural Principles and Theory Jenni Reuter was granted an award for a significant cultural achievement worth EUR 30 000. She received the award 鈥渇or empathy transcending cultural borders as well as for human-sized architecture鈥. Associate Professor Reuter is a partner at the Hollm茅n Reuter Sandman Architects, and together with the office she has managed numerous projects in developing countries which reduce poverty, offer protection and shelter to those in need, and involve the local communities. According to the criteria for the award, Associate Professor Reuter is rousing our society to consider architecture as a means to bring equality to the world instead of deepening division.
