Floriane presents research findings on denim recycling

On 15 January 2026, Floriane Jacquin, an intern with the Textile Chemistry Group at Aalto University, presented the findings of her research on solvent-based color stripping of vat-dyed denim fabric waste. The study addressed an important challenge in textile recycling, focusing on methods to remove dyes from denim waste to support more sustainable reuse of textile materials.

The presentation was held, chaired by Professor Ali Tehrani, Head of the Textile Chemistry Group, and was attended by group members.

Following her presentation, Floriane Jacquin was presented with a souvenir bearing the Aalto University logo in recognition of her contributions to the group. In her remarks, she expressed sincere gratitude for the opportunity to work with the Textile Chemistry Group, highlighting the excellent mentoring she received as well as the well-equipped laboratory facilities that supported her research work.

All attendees congratulated her on the successful completion of her research and wished her continued success in her future academic and professional endeavors.

Floriane Jacquin is currently pursuing her studies at Agro Toulouse, Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, Auzeville-Tolosane, France.
