Ilkka Kontula Foundation scholarships were awarded to successful students

Personal scholarships are 1 000 euros.
The School of Business Dean Ingmar Björkman and Head of Learning Services, Margareta Soismaa awarded the diplomas at a special ceremony organised at the School of Business on 7 May 2015.

The Ilkka Kontula Foundation awards annual incentive scholarships to students of the School of Business and the Faculty of Law at the University of Helsinki.

Ilkka Kontula, LL.M., M.Sc. (Econ. & Bus. Admin), who died in 2012, studied both at the Helsinki School of Economics and the University of Helsinki. With his bequest, he wanted to give assistance to students in their everyday lives.

Scholarships are awarded annually to successful students who have completed at least 80 credits units during their three first terms. Personal scholarships are 1 000 euros. The first scholarships were awarded in 2014.

As Ilkka Kontula was allocated the awards to students studying in Helsinki, the School of Business has decided to give the stipends of the same amount of money to successful students studying in Mikkeli.
