The goal is to extend contacts in education, training, and research, and open up new business opportunities.
Twelve Finnish universities have formed a consortium, coordinated by Aalto University, to promote increased cooperation with India. A delegation from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) visited Aalto in autumn 2013.
Aalto University鈥檚 President, Tuula Teeri, signed a memorandum of understanding with the President of IIT Kanpur, representing the Indian consortium, on 15 October. Both national presidents, Sauli Niinist枚 of Finland and Pranab Mukherjee of India, were present at the signing.
