Join open access clinics during fall 2017
This is allowed by all largest international publishers without any additional fees. Publishing your works open access has never been easier! Just upload your accepted manuscript into ACRIS research information system.
As research funders, such as European Commission, Academy of Finland and Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation (Tekes), are interested in maximizing the benefits for the society, they are posing demands on the open availability of the works produced in the projects they fund.
Aalto University’s repository solutions comply with open access publishing requirements of ERC’s (The European Research Council) Horizon 2020 program and Academy of Finland.
Open access publishing may also enhance the researcher’s visibility in research assessment exercises, as studies suggest a Web of Science citation advantage favoring opened articles versus traditional available-by subscription articles.
Join open access clinics at the Learning Centre to gain hands-on experience on how to use Aalto’s repository solutions to comply with the funders open access mandates, for example. Also other questions regarding open access publishing, such as ones regarding the Aalto Open Access Pilot Fund, are most welcome.
The clinics are free of charge.
