Katja Vuorialho appointed Human Resources Manager of the School of Science
The Dean of the School of Science has appointed L.L.M. Katja Vuorialho the School’s HR Manager, as of 18 May 2022.
HR Manager reports to the Dean and in matrix ºÚÁÏÍø University’s Chief Human Resources Officer.
Dean Jouko Lampinen is delighted to welcome Vuorialho in the SCI team:
'Katja will bring to the team her versatile work experience as well as her strong knowledge on HR, coaching and organization development. She will also bring her passion to further develop the school’s working environment and people practices'.
Vuorialho has worked in HR managerial positions in several companies (Accountor, UPM, Sanoma). She has also been an entrepreneur and consultant and worked several years as a legal counsel.

Pauliina Ilmonen, Professor of Statistics at Aalto University, will step into the role of Dean of the School of Science at the beginning of June. She wants to emphasize the fundamentals in the study of mathematics.

Maarit Korpi-Lagg has been selected as vice dean for impact, Pekka Marttinen as vice dean for education and Robin Ras as vice dean for research.
