Konemiehentie 1 - Kide building's address will change as of November 1, 2023

The building previously known as Otakaari 2B, now called the Kide building, has a new address Konemiehentie 1. The address for Saha also changes; its new address is Konemiehentie 3.

In Otaniemi, Espoo, the recently completed Kide building will have a new address of Konemiehentie 1 (in Swedish, Maskinbyggarvägen 5). As a result, the address of the neighboring Saha will also change; its upcoming address is Konemiehentie 3. The change will take effect on November 1, 2023.

On the opposite side of Konemiehentie, there is the Computer Science Building (Konemiehentie 2) and Espilä (Konemiehentie 4).

Kide

The Kide building (Konemiehentie 1, previously Otakaari 2B) brings approximately 5,700 brm2 for teaching, research and office space to the School of Science and the School of Electrical Engineering. The new building will be connected to the Nanotalo building and Aalto Nanomicroscopy Center, allowing for more collaboration in the field of nanotechnology.

The building complements the range of facilities in the universities and brings flexibility to the operation of the higher education institutions.
