Masters’ Gala gathered School of Business graduates to meet and mingle with old and new friends
This year’s Masters’ Gala was organized by the School of Business External Relations unit and KY on 1 June 2018. All School of Business graduates who have completed their Master’s degree between July 2017 and June 2018 were invited to the event. The idea of the event is to bring back the graduates, celebrate their big achievement, strengthen the sense of community between alumni and the School and help the newly graduated network with School’s other alumni.
There were also School’s older alumni and faculty present in the event. The Chairman of the Alumni Advisory Board, Alumna of the Year Salla Vainio shared her thoughts on being an alumnus/a, and what the degree at the School of Business can give to alumni: “The degree you have completed gives you various opportunities and the freedom to choose how you want to build your future career.”
The evening was filled with encounters of old and new friends, good food and performances. For example, our alumnus Alexander Patouchas gave his advice for the newly graduated in the form of a “stand-up”. The performance by Akystic turned on the party mood, and a joyful buzz of conversation continued late in the evening.
