MOOC course in programming awarded
Members of the taff at the School of Science got an Aalto High 5 award for their work in developing learning methods.
At the opening ceremony of the academic year, six High 5 awards were presented to members of the Aalto community. These awards were granted as recognition of excellent work in areas that represent the key functions of Aalto University. Proposals for award winners, who could be either individuals or groups, were received from all over the community.
The learning achievement award was presented to the MOOC course in programming and the team behind it: Teemu Lehtinen, Otto Seppälä, Teemu Sirkiä and Juha Sorva from the School of Science. The course is a notable opening in the development of learning methods at Aalto and delivers high generic value. The course has enjoyed high media visibility and received excellent student feedback.
