New carbon coating/sputtering system

A Leica EM ACE600 carbon thread evaporator and sputtering system is installed in Nanomicroscopy Center.

Leica EM ACE600 carbon thread evaporator and sputtering system is installed in Nanomicroscopy Center. The system replaces the old sputtering and carbon coating solutions in NMC.

The instrument is equipped with two coating heads, automated control, electrical stage, and a quartz crystal microbalance for measuring the coating thickness in situ.
